Developed for Domino Continuous Inkjet (CIJ) printers and the ever-growing security needs of customers, NanoMatriX is introducing MatriX-Mark™ Taggant inkjet ink concentrates to print invisible or visible security marks with covert and forensic security features which cannot be detected or replicated by counterfeiters.
What is MatriX-Mark™ Taggant?
Also known as tracer elements, taggants are super-invisible particles (cannot be detected by IR / UV) and can only be detected using dedicated scanners. A taggant is like a fingerprint—a unique signature of identity which is virtually impossible to duplicate.
MatriX-Mark™ Taggants are the physical or chemical markers added to materials for the purpose of identification. When ordinary inkjet inks are added with MatriX-Mark™ Taggant concentrates, it will bring the next generation of protection to even the most complex product supply chains.
How does it work?
- Delivered in 90 ml bottles which can be used for 1 liter of inkjet ink
- Can be added to any ink color used for CIJ printing (colored and colorless).
- Should only be used in CIJ printers which can use “pigmented ink”. These are printers which circulate (agitate) the ink when printing to avoid agglomeration.

What Makes MatriX-Mark™ Taggant So Special?
The combination of VDP and taggant-based ink provides foolproof security which would be impossible to replicate. The taggants are invisible using IR laser pens and UV fluorescent light which makes it very difficult to detect and imitate by counterfeiters.
